The Primary School programme (British Key Stage 2) at the Virtual International School provides a broad and balanced international education for students aged 7−11 in a wide range of subjects. The Primary School programme prepares students for successful learning at the next educational stage — Lower Secondary School (British Key Stage 3).
The curriculum is supported by the teaching resources and learning materials developed by the leading publishers Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press.
Subject-based learning is based on a concentric approach, which involves repeated study of the same topics at different levels of education, filling in more complexity and depth as students grow older.

Students ages 7-11 can apply to VIS Primary School. Students must have a basic proficiency in spoken and written English, which requires a basic understanding of English evaluated through an interview and a short written test.
We follow the globally respected Key Stage 2 British curriculum, covering core subjects like English, Math, and Science, along with History, Geography, Information Technology (IT). Students may choose their native language or request modern foreign languages, ensuring a balanced and well-rounded education.
You can choose a full-time online school or opt for a part-time programme that works alongside your child’s current school. This combination program offers flexibility, allowing you to select what best supports your child’s learning and schedule.
Our Primary School runs from Grade 3 to Grade 6, typically four years, to help your child build a solid foundation for secondary school and beyond.
All our classes are live online, with qualified teachers. Our small groups (maximum 10 students) ensure every child receives necessary attention and support.
Yes, students do receive homework to ensure they consolidate their learning, which is all set via our online platform and is easy to track.

All assessment in Primary school is completed online. The only examinations that may be in person come later in the formal stages of education (i.e., GCSE, A-levels).
